After many years of keeping us supplied with great coffee, Francie Farinet is retiring from Sunny Beans Coffee.

Francie has been a wonderful part of our temple community for many years, even from afar since moving from Alameda to Cayucos, California. Some longtime members may remember her retail shop on Santa Clara Avenue in the 1990s, before Peet’s or Starbucks came to Alameda. Around Hanamatsuri one year, she found her way to our temple, met Rev. Taniguchi and the community, and has been a loyal member ever since.

As a final gesture, Francie generously donated another 10 pounds of our favorite Sunny Beans coffee. Thank you, Francie, for all the coffee and years of generosity. We wish you the very best in retirement and look forward to seeing more of you at the temple!
