Annual Visitations – Tuesday, May 5

Thank you to the volunteers who visited and delivered bento to 28 of our Temple Keiro folks and those who are homebound. And, to Jane Naito for ordering and picking up the Super Mira bento in San Francisco. Everyone seemed to enjoy both the bento and the visits!

Bay District Buddhist Women’s League Conference (BDBWL) – Saturday, May 16

All seven attendees from Alameda enjoyed the conference, “May All Beings Be Happy and Well: Spiritual, Mental and Physical Health”. The Oakland BWA did a wonderful job in hosting the all-day event. The speakers and workshop presenters, Bishop Marvin Harada, health expert, Karen Owoc, and chair yoga instructor, Norma Hoshide kept the conference interesting, on point, and lively. I think we all came away feeling better informed and inspired!

Gotan-E May 17

Toban Group #2 served lunch of assorted croissant sandwiches, green salad, fruit salad, and with cake for dessert after the Gotan-e service. The group also provided the refreshments for after the special talk on the history of our Temple building. Thank you to Group #2 for all your efforts!
